Larry Linkler back again and the chatter around the internet these days is nothing other than: PRINCIPAL REDUCTION LOAN MODS! We will be reviewing various and sundry reasons of the following:

  • Where to get your principal reduced on a loan mod
  • When to reduce your principal

  • Principal reduction and forgivness
  • Debt and tax strategies for reducing principal

  • Avoiding foreclosure through a principal reduction and a loan modification

Before I give out the email address and phone number for the CEO of your bank, I will ask that you politely click through the links and review the information CAREFULLY before getting your principal reduced. As the old adage goes – it is far more dangerous to have a principal; reduction in the hands of an uneducated homeowner than it is to avoid foreclosure through more “traditional” ways.

Larry Linkler signing off!

There have been some new developments in Florida short selling described aroun the blogosphere and you should chek them out. Similar to the florida short sale in bankruptcy except for the idea that the florida real estate agent sold it prior to the automatic stay bankruptyc filing. Most bankruptcy attorneys will have you file for bankruptcy.

Scant reports of FHA lenders reassures us that they may offer streamline refinances in several ways. Some FHA lenders offer "no cost" refinances (actually, no out-of-pocket expenses to the borrower and paid with yield spread premium by FHA broker) by charging a higher rate of interest on the new loan than if the borrower financed or paid the closing costs in cash. From this MIP premium, the direct endorsement lender pays any closing costs that are incurred on the transaction and this is helpful with FHA Streamlined refinances.

I'm puzzled over the recent discussions on FHA short refinance. There's a talk over here about short refi's and a discussion over here about FHA and a third one over here about refinances with FHA shorts. All of this talk, and still not much is said about the FHA short refinance. Which makes me think....

After all is said and done, a lot more is said than ever done with the FHA.

Stay tuned for more develeopments on the FHA SHORT REFINANCE.

Larry Linkler here and we have something to say about FHA Short Refinance loans. One person was writing that the short person was short and the tall person was tall and somehow that related to and FHA refinance. I'm not sure how they put that together to an FHA short refinance, but the buzz is all around the internet.

These are a few of the places you can search to enable a refinance of the federal housing adminsitration program for GNMA pools. That's sufficient along with the FHA MIP fund that was affected by the housing legislation. These FHA refinances are sure the talk of the mortgage and real estate people. Hopefully that will assist the lending when the balances are short funds to close on a full refinance loan.

FHA short lending is a viable mortgage refinance in 2009 and 2010.
